When the Dept of the Navy mysteriously allows Peter Williams to be the first person to board a locked down and classified World War II submarine, Peter and his team discover that this classified story goes deeper than anyone ever imagined.

Plot Outline

It’s 2014 and Peter Williams, a driven Professor of History at the US Naval War College is obsessed with an old war story about the USS LIONFISH, a US Navy submarine that was mysteriously and suddenly chained, welded shut, sealed and locked to the pier in 1943. Peter, after becoming an embarrassment to the Naval History Department, is forced to resign his position due to his single minded obsession with the submarine story.  The next day, Peter receives a call from  the Department of the Navy – after years and years of trying, he will be allowed to visit the USS LIONFISH. After assembling his team of researchers including ex-wife Stacey, his friend Mike, and his research assistant Vicki, they all head to the Fall River MA Navy Base.
Peter and his team board the 298 boat, the USS LIONFISH…the first people to be allowed on the boat for over 80 years since …the event.

Once on board, they become trapped by the boat itself and things only get worse for the team as the boat comes to life, and heads out to sea diving them into a pitched battle with a German U-boat and a US NAVY Destroyer.

Peter and his team are thrust into the untenable position of continuing to fight against the LIONFISH,  to save themselves, or changing sides and fighting with the USS LIONFISH.

With the fate of Peter, his crew, the USS LIONFISH, and the outcome of World War II hanging in the balance, Peter must make a decision that he never anticipated and that could potentially…change the world forever.
